What Does Neurodiversity Mean?
Neurodiversity refers to the natural variation in how human brains develop, process information, communicate, learn, regulate, and respond to the world. Every group is neurodiverse, because no two brains operate identically.
The term neurodivergent is commonly used for people whose neurotype differs from dominant expectations, including many autistic people, people with ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, Tourette syndrome, and other cognitive or developmental differences.
Human progress has always depended on cognitive variation. Different minds notice different problems, ask different questions, and build different solutions.
This module celebrates contribution without turning neurodivergence into a requirement for exceptional achievement. A neurodivergent person does not have to be famous, unusually productive, or visibly gifted to have value.
